Rosewood Miramar Beach
The iconic Montecito property that combines leisure with taste, relaxation with decadence. Visiting in late February of 2026, we found ourselves perched above the ocean for four nights.
For all of my favorites and recommendations, see my guide to the property below the film photos.

Where We Ate
The Revere Room
Where we ate the most on property, including our first dinner and every subsequent breakfast. My favorite thing to do? Order something from their juice menu right when I sat down for breakfast — my favorite was The Sunrise. Oh, and do not miss the breakfast potatoes.
Ama Sushi
While I wasn’t expecting Omakase on-property, it was such an intimate and fun experience. Our chef handmade the plates we ate off of while he handmade our rolls in front of us. Mix in a sake flight and suddenly you can’t wipe the smile off your face.
Caruso’s
A claim most make without actual backing: “The best meal of my life.”
But, I mean it. From the first bites to the post-entree cheese selection, everything in their Michelin-star offering was first class including the staff. If there’s one can’t-miss stop on the trip, it’s Caruso’s. If you see our waiter, Vince, tell him I say “hello.”
Miramar Beach Bar
Situated right next to our room, we did lunch and pre-dinner drinks here. Of course, I ordered their “Morning Dew” cocktail as a tribute to my favorite band. But don’t let the drinks fool you: the fried fish tacos were my favorite lunch of the trip.
What We Did
The Beach
After they kindly upgraded our room to one looking over the beach, I ended up spending most of my time either watching it from our porch or lounging in one of the beach chairs. It was a hub of activity the entire time we were there (and the mid-day lemonade was perfect).
The Pool
They have two pools — the family pool and the adult pool (pictured above). But even though we were without kids on this trip, I still ended up enjoying my time at the family pool. Was it because they had a delicious poolside ice cream shop? Perhaps.
Santa Barbara
While we did spend most of our time on the property, we ventured into town to poke around. We spent most of our time in The Funk Zone sorting through records, browsing surf shops, and enjoying a beer at a local brewery.
